Sammy's Mission is a non profit organization that has six faith-based transitional homes in the Greenville SC metropolitan area. We provide a safe environment where the men are held accountable by their peers and staff while growing their relationship with God and serving others.
Sammy's Mission helps to facilitate individuals who are in need of treatment, get into a reputable rehabilitation program. We strive to get those who reach out for help, into a treatment facility quickly and into a facility that we feel is best suited for their needs.
We are a faith based program and we are daily striving to grow a relationship with Jesus Christ as we find sobriety. We have been changed by Christ, and will daily be used by Him to give others what was freely give to us; HOPE!!
Check out this overview video of what Sammy's Mission is all about.
Sammy’s Mission exists so that men struggling with hopelessness and addiction experience hope, hear the Good News of God’s love, live in sobriety and serve others.
That men who are in addiction recovery be able to find safe, sober, Christ-centerd transition home where they are treated as part of a family and feel the love of Jesus.
Sammy Johnson
Sammy's Mission is formed in memory and honor of Sammy Johnson who was David Carson's best friend. His life was cut too short while he was in active addiction. We, at his mission strive to help as many people as we can, overcome their addictions and live a life of sobriety and peace in Jesus. Our hope is that no death due to addiction is ever in vain, that their memory will live on and will encourage others to break the chains of addiction.
I am David Carson and I founded Sammy's Mission with my wife, Mandi. Just like Sammy, I was in active addiction for many years. I was a hopeless addict and only by the grace of God, I was introduced to the Miracle Hill Overcomers Program in 2017. While I was in the treatment program, I met Jesus and have developed a real love relationship with Him and my life has been changed forever. I continually want to give back what was freely given to me; hope. I want to serve and help those that are in need like I once was. God has laid it upon Mandi's and my heart to launch this mission to help others in active addiction.
